Short answer
Because static pages deployed to a global edge network load faster, are safer, and make award-level visuals and motion easier. The trade-off is that content changes go through us (or the Growth OS console) instead of a self-service admin panel.
Benefits
Static pages have no database or plugins, so the usual hacks, plugin conflicts and broken theme updates mostly disappear. Pages are served from a global CDN, so they load fast, and every change is versioned and can be rolled back.
Trade-offs
If your team edits the site daily, an admin panel such as WordPress may suit you better. Our approach keeps content in the site code: changes go to a preview first and are published after you approve them.
