How many languages does an export website need?

For: Exporters entering non-English markets

Short answer

Follow your target markets, not a bigger-is-better rule: get English right first, then add languages as inquiries and target countries justify them. Each language gets a machine draft plus human review, with correct hreflang so search engines show the right version to the right buyer.

How we do it

First drafts come from our self-hosted translation service, so your material is not sent to unnecessary third parties. We fix a glossary first (product names, materials, units), and every draft is human-reviewed before it goes live. Unreviewed languages are not published.

Technical must-haves

Each language has its own URLs; pages reference each other with hreflang; the navigation switches to the same page in another language; spec numbers and units match across all languages.
